Dear Valued HOP Partners:

I hope everyone is well and healthy and supporting one another through this difficult time of uncertainty. The team at Health Outreach Partners including our Board of Directors supports the local six county Bay Area ordinance to shelter-in-place through April 7, 2020. Our staff will be working remote during this time and fully accessible via email, telephone, and remote meeting technology in order to mitigate the spread of Covid-19 in our community. Additionally, all business travel has been canceled or postponed through the month of April. All staff have been given resources from Alameda county, the CDC, and HRSA to help us navigate the situation.

Our work will nonetheless continue. We stand in support of community health centers and their staff, who are on the front lines of providing health care to the most vulnerable people in our communities. HOP’s mission is never more important than in times like this.

Additionally, we are conducting our day-to-day work with the goal to support each other as a team. Working alone away from other people can be isolating, lonely, and difficult. Maintaining a human connection is part of the wellness and self-care commitments HOP staff have to one another during normal circumstances, and it is extra important now. Our team has committed to weekly team check-ins by video, as well as choosing phone or video to communicate whenever possible.

While many in-person events have been postponed or canceled, one thing that we can provide our partners and health center staff is access to webinars and online resources. Remote learning is a great way to continue your professional development, especially for those working from home or otherwise practicing self-isolation. We will be sharing upcoming webinars and resources via social media and our mailing list. As always, visit our website for access to all resources and recorded webinars: www.outreach-partners.org

Given the pandemic’s fluidity and uncertainty, we will continue to actively monitor the situation, make changes accordingly, and update you on any and all changes in our operations. Please know that your partnership and support mean the world to us.

On behalf of the entire HOP team, stay healthy and safe!
