Training Webinar

This webinar focuses on public transportation as a crucial resource for low-income and vulnerable communities for the function of their daily lives and to access services, such as health care. Yet public transportation is often not affordable or convenient, and for many communities, their reliance on public transportation creates added challenges to their lives. Additionally, with the COVID-19 pandemic, the impact on public transportation has been significant. As the realities of the pandemic change and evolve, transportation entities are struggling to rebound, and there is an increased need for transportation and health entities alike to advocate and protect public transportation as a resource for their patients and communities. During this time of rebuilding and rethinking transportation efforts, it is vital that it is done with a health equity lens by addressing existing needs and challenges that prioritizes those who rely on it most.
